Description
A tribute to the treasures of Sicily, an exclusive capsule collection that combines culture and coffee.
“I Caffè di Sicilia – Selinunte” is dedicated to the Selinunte Archaeological Park, the largest archaeological site in Europe, nestled on the sand dunes between the Mediterranean Sea and the Belice River.
SELINUNTE ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK
The ancient city of Selinunte was founded by the Greeks around 650 BC. and had a very short life, just 240 years.
But during only two centuries it managed to establish itself as a rich and powerful civilization. This caused numerous conflicts with the Carthaginians and continuous fights with the nearby city of Segesta, dominated by the Elimi.
The end of the glorious Selinunte was written by the Carthaginians, who sacked and destroyed it in 409 BC. Subsequently, the numerous earthquakes that affected the area over the centuries drew the features of what remains of the agora and the beautiful Doric temples of the ancient city.
I CAFFE’ DI SICILIA
The “”I Caffè di Sicilia”” collection is Morettino’s homage to his land.
Each coffee is dedicated to one of the island’s treasures. A sort of Grand Tour to discover unique territories, between different flavors and stories.
Thanks to them, it is possible to make an imaginary walk through the streets of the most authentic Sicily accompanied by the scent of the blends created to recall the characteristics of the place to which they are dedicated.
FLAVORS OF THE TERRITORY
Inside each package there is a special blend of freshly ground coffee, roasted by Morettino master roasters to recreate the typical aromas of the area nestled among the sand dunes where sea lilies and ears of wheat grow wild.
Coffee with a Mediterranean soul, which embodies the notes of the sea lily and fragrant scents of Castelvetrano black bread.
