Description
In the lush highlands of Rwanda, the Café de Mama project stands as a symbol of empowerment, community, and transformation.
Under the leadership of Agnes Mukamushinja, the women of Nova Coffee Cooperative have built a network of female farmers committed to producing coffee that supports people and the planet alike.
Through education, training, and access to fair trade opportunities, Nova Coffee Coop helps women gain independence and expertise in the coffee industry.
In 2021, their dedication was rewarded when Café de Mama was named “Taste of Rwanda” Best Product, a milestone that reinforces their mission to pursue quality and sustainability while supporting over 2,800 farming families.
The cooperative also leads Ikawa Sawa (Sustainable Arabica and Women in Agriculture), a program that promotes environmentally responsible farming and uplifts rural women across the country.
In the cup, Rwanda Café de Mama Specialty Coffee delights with its floral fragrance, citrus brightness, and gentle sweetness, leaving a clean, elegant finish that reflects the spirit of the women who grow it.
