Cuba Caracolillo Specialty Coffee – Beans

12.00

A rare and refined coffee with an intense and sweet aromatic profile, featuring notes of chocolate, dried fruit, and tobacco.

Grown on the slopes of the Sierra Maestra, Cuba Caracolillo Specialty Coffee embodies the rebirth of Cuban coffee, blending tradition, ethics, and sustainability.

Description

Cuba Caracolillo Special is an ethical and organic Specialty Coffee, certified by the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, representing the renaissance of Cuban coffee culture.

It is cultivated at 800 meters above sea level in the Sierra Maestra mountains, where the humid tropical climate and fertile soil create ideal conditions for high-quality Arabica.

Its name comes from the shape of the bean—small and round, resembling a snail shell. “Caracolillo” in Spanish literally means “little snail.”

The botanical variety, Isla, is a unique Cuban hybrid derived from Typica, Bourbon, Caturra, and Catimor, expressing the island’s rich biodiversity.

This coffee is washed processed, enhancing its clarity and sweetness in the cup.

It is part of a sustainable and transparent supply chain, developed through the collaboration between Bio Cuba Caffè and the Grupo Empresarial Agroforestal (GAF) of Cuba’s Ministry of Agriculture.

Their mission is to support small-scale farmers through fair, traceable, and eco-friendly coffee cultivation, integrated within forest ecosystems.

With the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) and blockchain traceability, the Slow Food Coffee Coalition ensures authenticity and full accountability for every bean.

In the cup, Cuba Caracolillo Specialty Coffee offers a sweet, full-bodied flavor with notes of chocolate, dried fruit, and tobacco, leaving an intense, lingering finish.

A coffee that tells a story of heritage, resilience, and sustainability, capturing the essence of Cuban craftsmanship.
