“I Caffè di Sicilia – Quattro Canti it is dedicated to the octagonal square that unites the two ancient streets of Palermo: Cassaro and via Maqueda, built in the late 1500s.

I QUATTRO CANTI

Named also “”Theater of the Sun””, because during the day at least one of the four wings is illuminated by the sun, it is made up of four corners that depict, from the bottom to the top, a sort of ascension from the realm of nature to the spiritual one.

On the lower floor there are the fountains that represent the rivers of the ancient city Oreto, Kemonia, Pannaria, Papireto. Above them there are the allegories of the four seasons, represented by Aeolus, Venus, Ceres and Bacchus. On the top floor are the statues of the kings Charles V, Philip II, Philip III and Philip IV and, finally, the four Palermo saints, Agata, Ninfa, Oliva and Cristina, patron saints of the city before Santa Rosalia.

For centuries the Quattro Canti has been one of the most representative places of the city: it is here that, during the Festino in honor of the patron saint of the city, the mayor gets on the festively decorated wagon to shout good wishes to the city: “”Long  live Palermo, long live Holy Rosalia!””.

I CAFFE’ DI SICILIA

The “”I Caffè di Sicilia”” collection is Morettino’s homage to his land.

Each coffee is dedicated to one of the island’s treasures. A sort of Grand Tour to discover unique territories, between different flavors and stories.

Thanks to them, it is possible to make an imaginary walk through the streets of the most authentic Sicily accompanied by the scent of the blends created to recall the characteristics of the place to which they are dedicated.

FLAVORS OF THE TERRITORY

Inside each package is a special blend of freshly ground coffee, roasted by Morettino master roasters and made to recreate the traditional aromas and flavors of the city of Palermo. Coffee with an intriguing note and intense hints of sesame and candied fruit.
